First Reading (Acts 13: 14 and 43-52)
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles.
Paul and Barnabas continued from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. On the Sabbath day they entered the synagogue and sat down. Many Jews and devout God-fearing people followed them and to these they spoke, urging them to hold fast to the grace of God. The following Sabbath almost the entire city gathered to listen to Paul, who spoke a fairly long time about the Lord. But the presence of such a crowd made the Jews jealous. So they began to oppose with insults whatever Paul had stated. Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out firmly, saying, "It was necessary that God's word be first proclaimed to you, but since you now reject it and judge yourselves to be unworthy of eternal life, we turn to non-Jewish people. For thus we were commanded by the Lord: I have set you as a light to the pagan nations, so that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth." Those who were not Jews rejoiced when they heard this and praised the message of the Lord, and all those destined for everlasting life believed in it. Thus the Word spread throughout the whole region. Some of the Jews, however, incited God-fearing women of the upper class and the leading men of the city, as well, and stirred up an intense persecution against Paul and Barnabas. Finally they had them expelled from their region. The apostles shook the dust from their feet in protest against this people and went to Iconium, leaving the disciples filled with joy and Holy Spirit.
Second Reading (Revelation 7: 9 and 14b-17)
A reading from the book of Revelation.
I, John, saw a great crowd, impossible to count, from every nation, race, people and tongue, standing before the throne and the Lab, clothed in white, with palm branches in their hands. The elder replied, "They are those who have come out of the great persecution; they have washed and made their clothes white in the blood of the Lamb. This is why they stand before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his sanctuary. He who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they suffer hunger or thirst or be burned by the sun or any scorching wind. For the Lamb near the throne will be their Shepherd, and he will bring them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away their tears."
Gospel (John 10: 27-30)

Jesus states to the Jews, "My sheep hear my voice and I know them; they follow me and I give them eternal life. They shall never perish and nobody will ever steal them from me. What the Father has given me is stronger than everything and no one can snatch it from the Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

Pablo y Bernabé continuaron su viaje, y de Perge fueron a Antioquía de Pisidia. El sábado entraron en la sinagoga y se sentaron. Cuando se disolvió la asamblea, muchos judíos y prosélitos que adoraban a Dios siguieron a Pablo y a Bernabé. Estos conversaban con ellos, exhortándolos a permanecer fieles a la gracia de Dios. Casi toda la ciudad se reunió el sábado siguiente para escuchar la Palabra de Dios. Al ver esa multitud, los judíos se llenaron de envidia y con injurias contradecían las palabras de Pablo. Entonces Pablo y Bernabé, con gran firmeza, dijeron: “A ustedes debíamos anunciar en primer lugar la Palabra de Dios, pero ya que la rechazan y no se consideran dignos de la Vida eterna, nos dirigimos ahora a los paganos. Así nos ha ordenado el Señor: ‘Yo te he establecido para ser la luz de las naciones, para llevar la salvación hasta los confines de la tierra.’” Al oír esto, los paganos, llenos de alegría, alabaron la Palabra de Dios, y todos los que estaban destinados a la vida eterna abrazaron la fe. Así la Palabra del Señor se iba extendiendo por toda la región. Pero los judíos instigaron a unas mujeres piadosas que pertenecían a la aristocracia y a los principales de la ciudad, provocando una persecución contra Pablo y Bernabé, y los echaron de su territorio. Estos, sacudiendo el polvo de sus pies en señal de protesta contra ellos, se dirigieron a Iconio. Los discípulos, por su parte, quedaron llenos de alegría y del Espíritu Santo.
Segunda Lectura (Apocalipsis 7: 9 y 14b-17)

Después de esto, yo, Juan, vi un gentío inmenso, imposible de contar, de toda nación y raza, pueblo y lengua, que estaban de pie delante del trono y del Cordero, vestidos con vestiduras blancas y con palmas en sus manos. El Anciano me replicó: “Esos son los que vienen de la gran persecución; han lavado y blanqueado sus vestiduras con la sangre del Cordero. Por eso están ante el trono de Dios y le sirven día y noche en su templo; el que está sentado en el trono extenderá su tienda sobre ellos; ya no sufrirán más hambre ni sed ni se verán agobiados por el sol ni por viento abrasador alguno, porque el Cordero que está junto al trono será su pastor y los guiará a los manantiales de las aguas de la vida; y Dios enjugará las lágrimas de sus ojos.”

Jesús dice a los judíos: “Mis ovejas escuchan mi voz, yo las conozco y ellas me siguen. Yo les doy Vida eterna: ellas no perecerán jamás y nadie las arrebatará de mis manos. Mi Padre, que me las ha dado, es superior a todos y nadie puede arrebatar nada de las manos de mi Padre. El Padre y yo somos una sola cosa.”

Mula sa Perga, nagpatuloy sila hanggang Antioquia sa Pisidia. Nang Araw ng Pamamahinga, pumasok sila sa sinagoga at naupo. Pagkatapos ng pulong, sumunod kina Pablo at Bernabe ang maraming Judio at mga relihiyosong Hentil na nahikayat sa Judaismo. Nagsalita sa kanila ang mga apostol at pinangaralan silang magpatuloy sa pamumuhay nang nararapat ayon sa kagandahang-loob ng Diyos. Nang sumunod na Araw ng Pamamahinga, halos lahat ng tao sa lungsod ay nagkatipon upang makinig sa salita ng Panginoon. Inggit na inggit naman ang mga Judio nang makita nila ang napakaraming tao, kaya't nilait nila at sinalungat si Pablo. Ngunit buong tapang na sinabi nina Pablo at Bernabe, “Sa inyo muna sana dapat ipahayag ang salita ng Diyos. Ngunit ang mga pinuno ng lungsod at ang mga debotong babae na kilala sa lipunan ay sinulsulan ng mga Judio upang usigin sina Pablo at Bernabe at palayasin sa lupaing iyon. Kaya't ipinagpag ng dalawa ang alikabok sa kanilang mga paa bilang saksi laban sa mga tagaroon, at sila'y nagpunta sa Iconio. Ang mga alagad naman sa Antioquia ay napuspos ng kagalakan at ng Espiritu Santo.

Nakatayo sila sa harap ng trono at ng Kordero, nakadamit ng puti at may hawak na mga palaspas. At sinabi niya sa akin, “Sila ang mga nanggaling sa matinding kapighatian. Nilinis nila at pinaputi ang kanilang damit sa dugo ng Kordero. Iyan ang dahilan kung bakit sila ay nasa harap ng trono ng Diyos at naglilingkod sa kanya sa templo araw at gabi. At ang nakaupo sa trono ang siyang kukupkop sa kanila. Hindi na sila magugutom ni mauuhaw man; hindi na rin sila mabibilad sa araw ni mapapaso ng anumang matinding init, sapagkat ang Korderong nasa gitna ng trono ang magiging pastol nila. Siya ang gagabay sa kanila sa mga bukal ng tubig na nagbibigay-buhay, at papahirin ng Diyos ang bawat luha sa kanilang mga mata.”

Kailanma'y hindi sila mapapahamak at hindi sila maaagaw sa akin ninuman. Ang aking Ama na siyang nagbigay sa kanila sa akin ay lalong dakila sa lahat, at hindi sila maaagaw ninuman sa aking Ama. Ako at ang Ama ay iisa.”
