First reading (Deuteronomy 30: 10–14)
A reading from the book of Deuteronomy.

Moses said to the people: "If only you would heed the voice of the LORD, your God, and keep his commandments and statutes that are written in this book of the law, when you return to the LORD, your God, with all your heart and all your soul. "For this command that I enjoin on you today is not too mysterious and remote for you. It is not up in the sky, that you should say, 'Who will go up in the sky to get it for us and tell us of it, that we may carry it out?' Nor is it across the sea, that you should say, 'Who will cross the sea to get it for us and tell us of it, that we may carry it out?' No, it is something very near to you, already in your mouths and in your hearts; you have only to carry it out."

Second reading (Colossians 1: 15–20)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians.

Christ Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross through him, whether those on earth or those in heaven.

Gospel (Luke 10: 25–37)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke.

There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test him and said, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?" He said in reply, You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." He replied to him, "You have answered correctly; do this and you will live." But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus replied, "A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead. A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. Likewise, a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn, and cared for him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, 'Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.' Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?" He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

These commandments that I give you today are neither too high nor too far for you. They are not in heaven that you should say: 'Who will go up to heaven to get these commandments so that we may hear them and put them into practice?' Neither are they at the other side of the sea for you to say: 'Who will cross to the other side and bring them to us so that we may hear them and put them into practice?' On the contrary, my word is very near you; it is already in your mouth and in your heart so that you can put it into practice."

Second reading (Colossians 1: 15–20)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians.

He is the image of the unseen God, and for all creation, he is the first-born, for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible: thrones, rulers, authorities, powers... All was made through him and for him. He is before all and all things hold together in him. And he is the head of the body, that is the Church, for he is the first, the first raised from the dead that he may be the first in everything, for God was pleased to let fullness dwell in him. Through him, God willed to reconcile all things to himself, and through him, through his blood shed on the cross. God establishes peace, on earth as in heaven.

Gospel (Luke 10: 25–37)

Then a teacher of the Law came and began putting Jesus to the test. And he asked, "Master, what shall I do to obtain eternal life?" Jesus replied, "What is written in the Scripture? And you shall love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus replied, "That is a good answer. If you do this, you shall live." The man wanted to keep appearances, so he replied, "But, who is my neighbor?" Jesus then stated this, "There was a man going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him and went off leaving him half-dead. It happened that a priest was going along that road and saw the man, but passed by on the other side. Likewise, a Levite saw the man and passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, too, was going that way, and when he came upon the man, he was moved with compassion. He went over to him and treated his wounds with oil and wine and wrapped them with bandages. Then he put him on his own mount and brought him to an inn where he took care of him. The next day he had to set off, but he gave two silver coins to the innkeeper and told him: 'Take care of him and whatever you spend on him, I will repay when I come back.'" Jesus then asked, "Which of these three, do you think, made himself neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The teacher of the Law answered, "The one who had mercy on him." And Jesus replied, "Go then, and do the same."

    I pray to you, O LORD, for the time of your favor, O God! In your great kindness answer me with your constant help. Answer me, O LORD, for bounteous is your kindness: in your great mercy turn toward me.

    I am afflicted and in pain; let your saving help, O God, protect me. I will praise the name of God in song, and I will glorify him with thanksgiving. Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live. "See, you lowly ones, and be glad; you who seek God, may your hearts revive! For the LORD hears the poor, and his own who are in bonds he spurns not."

  4. Primera lectura (Deuteronomio 30: 10–14)
    Una lectura del libro de Deuteronomio.
    Porque tú habrás vuelto a Yahvé, tu Dios, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma, y guardarás sus mandamientos y sus normas, en una palabra, lo que está escrito en el libro de esta Ley. Este mandamiento que yo te doy no es superior a tus fuerzas ni está fuera de tu alcance. No está en el cielo, para que puedas decir: “¿Quién subirá al cielo y nos lo traerá? Entonces escucharemos y lo pondremos en práctica.” Tampoco está al otro lado del mar, para que tengas que decir: “¿Quién pasará hasta el otro lado y nos lo traerá? Entonces escucharemos y lo pondremos en práctica.” Todo lo contrario, mi palabra ha llegado bien cerca de ti; ya la tienes en la boca y la sabes de memoria, y sólo hace falta ponerla en práctica.

    Segunda lectura (Colosenses 1: 15–20)

    Él es la Imagen del Dios invisible, el Primogénito de toda la creación, porque en él fueron creadas todas las cosas, tanto en el cielo como en la tierra los seres visibles y los invisibles, Tronos, Dominaciones, Principados y Potestades: todo fue creado por medio de él y para él. Él existe antes que todas las cosas y todo subsiste en él. Él es también la Cabeza del Cuerpo, es decir, de la Iglesia. Él es el Principio, el Primero que resucitó de entre los muertos, a fin de que él tuviera la primacía en todo, porque Dios quiso que en él residiera toda la Plenitud. Por él quiso reconciliar consigo todo lo que existe en la tierra y en el cielo, restableciendo la paz por la sangre de su cruz.

    Evangelio (Lucas 10: 25–37)

    Y entonces, un doctor de la Ley se levantó y le preguntó para ponerlo a prueba: “Maestro, ¿qué tengo que hacer para heredar la Vida eterna?” Jesús le preguntó a su vez: “¿Qué está escrito en la Ley? ¿Qué lees en ella?” Él le respondió: “Amarás al Señor, tu Dios, con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma, con todas tus fuerzas y con todo tu espíritu, y a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.” “Has respondido exactamente, le dijo Jesús; obra así y alcanzarás la vida.” Pero el doctor de la Ley, para justificar su intervención, le hizo esta pregunta: “¿Y quién es mi prójimo?” Jesús volvió a tomar la palabra y le respondió: “Un hombre bajaba de Jerusalén a Jericó y cayó en manos de unos ladrones, que lo despojaron de todo, lo hirieron y se fueron, dejándolo medio muerto. Casualmente bajaba por el mismo camino un sacerdote: lo vio y siguió de largo. También pasó por allí un levita: lo vio y siguió su camino. Pero un samaritano que viajaba por allí, al pasar junto a él, lo vio y se conmovió. Entonces se acercó y vendó sus heridas, cubriéndolas con aceite y vino; después lo puso sobre su propia montura, lo condujo a un albergue y se encargó de cuidarlo. Al día siguiente, sacó dos denarios y se los dio al dueño del albergue, diciéndole: ‘Cuídalo, y lo que gastes de más, te lo pagaré al volver’ ¿Cuál de los tres te parece que se portó como prójimo del hombre asaltado por los ladrones?” “El que tuvo compasión de él”, le respondió el doctor. Y Jesús le dijo: “Ve, y procede tú de la misma manera.”

Sapagkat minarapat ng Diyos na ang buo niyang kalikasan ay manatili sa Anak, at sa pamamagitan ng Anak, niloob ng Diyos na ang lahat ng bagay, maging sa langit o sa lupa ay ipagkasundo sa kanya. Ano ba ang nababasa mo roon?” Sumagot ang lalaki, “‘Ibigin mo ang Panginoon mong Diyos nang buong puso mo, buong kaluluwa mo, buong lakas mo, at buong pag-iisip mo;’ at ‘Ibigin mo ang iyong kapwa gaya ng pag-ibig mo sa iyong sarili.’” Sabi ni Jesus, “Tama ang sagot mo. Gawin mo iyan at magkakamit ka ng buhay na walang hanggan.” Upang huwag siyang lumabas na kahiya-hiya, nagtanong pa ang lalaki, “Sino naman ang aking kapwa?” Sumagot si Jesus, “May isang taong naglalakbay mula sa Jerusalem papuntang Jerico.     Bacaan kedua (Kolose 1: 15–20)

    Ia adalah gambar Allah yang tidak kelihatan, yang sulung, lebih utama dari segala yang diciptakan, karena di dalam Dialah telah diciptakan segala sesuatu, yang ada di sorga dan yang ada di bumi, yang kelihatan dan yang tidak kelihatan, baik singgasana, maupun kerajaan, baik pemerintah, maupun penguasa; segala sesuatu diciptakan oleh Dia dan untuk Dia. Ia ada terlebih dahulu dari segala sesuatu dan segala sesuatu ada di dalam Dia. Ialah kepala tubuh, yaitu jemaat. Ialah yang sulung, yang pertama bangkit dari antara orang mati, sehingga Ia yang lebih utama dalam segala sesuatu. Karena seluruh kepenuhan Allah berkenan diam di dalam Dia, dan oleh Dialah Ia memperdamaikan segala sesuatu dengan diri-Nya, baik yang ada di bumi, maupun yang ada di sorga, sesudah Ia mengadakan pendamaian oleh darah salib Kristus.

Jawab orang itu: "Kasihilah Tuhan, Allahmu, dengan segenap hatimu dan dengan segenap jiwamu dan dengan segenap kekuatanmu dan dengan segenap akal budimu, dan kasihilah sesamamu manusia seperti dirimu sendiri." Kata Yesus kepadanya: "Jawabmu itu benar; perbuatlah demikian, maka engkau akan hidup." Tetapi untuk membenarkan dirinya orang itu berkata kepada Yesus: "Dan siapakah sesamaku manusia?"     この読み物申命記です。
    この律法の書にある戒めを守り、主に立ち返るなら、主は必ず喜んでくださいます。これらの律法を守るのは決してむりなことではありません。この律法は手の届かない天にあるわけではないからです。あなたは、聞こうにも聞こえず、守ろうにも守れず、かといって地上に届けてくれる者もいないと、途方にくれることはありません。また、だれも伝えてくれないほど遠い海のかなたにあるわけでもありません。むしろ、いつでも守れるように、すぐ近くに、あなたの唇、あなたの心にあるのです。

    第二読み物(コロサイ人第1章:第15詩–第20詩)
    この読み物はコロサイ人への手紙です。
    キリストは、目には見えない神のかたちであり、神がすべてのものをお造りになる前からおられました。事実、キリストはすべてのものの創造者なのです。天にあるものも地にあるものも、目に見えるものも見えないものも、霊の世界の王座も主権も支配も権威もすべて、この方がご自身の目的と栄光のために造られたのです。キリストは他のすべてのものに先立って存在し、すべてのものは、キリストによって成り立っています。ですからキリストは、ご自分に属する人々からなる体〔すなわち教会〕のかしらです。キリストは、だれよりも先に死者の中から復活された方です。こうしてキリストが、あらゆる点で第一の地位を占めておられるのです。神は、ご自分のすべてが御子の中に宿ることを望み、キリストの十字架の血によって、天と地のすべてのものが神のもとに行く道を開いてくださいました。神の子キリストが十字架の上で死なれたことにより、すべてのものが、神との平和な関係を持つに至ったのです。

    福音書(ルカ第10章:第25詩–第37詩)
    この読み物はルカの福音書です。
    ある日、律法の専門家がやって来て、イエスを試そうとしました。「先生。お聞きしたいのですが、永遠のいのちを受けるには、何をしたらよろしいでしょうか。」「モーセの律法には、何と書いてありますか。」「『心を尽くし、たましいを尽くし、力を尽くし、思いを尽くして、あなたの神である主を愛しなさい』、それに、『自分自身を愛するように、あなたの隣人を愛しなさい』とありますが。」「そう、そのとおりにすればいいのです。そうすれば、永遠のいのちを得られます。」しかし律法の専門家は、自分がある人々を愛していないことを正当化しようと、「隣人とはだれのことですか?」と聞き返しました。イエスは直接答える代わりに、たとえを話されました。「エルサレムからエリコへ旅をしていたユダヤ人が、強盗に襲われました。強盗どもは、身ぐるみはぎ取り、あり金全部を奪うと、その人を殴ったり、蹴ったりして半殺しにし、道ばたに放り出して逃げて行きました。ちょうどそこへ、ユダヤの祭司が通りかかりました。ふと見ると、旅人が倒れています。でも、めんどうに巻き込まれたくなかったので、道の反対側へ回り、何くわぬ顔で通り過ぎてしまいました。しばらくすると、今度はレビ人(神殿で奉仕する人)が通りかかりましたが、彼も、倒れている旅人を横目でちらりとながめただけで行ってしまいました。ところが、常日頃ユダヤ人に軽蔑されていたサマリヤ人がたまたま通りかかり、旅人を見つけました。その人をかわいそうに思ったサマリヤ人は、急いでそばに近づいて、傷口に薬をぬり、包帯を巻いて応急手当をしました。それから自分のろばに乗せ、宿屋まで運んで、一晩中、看病してあげました。翌日、宿屋の主人にデナリ銀貨二枚を渡し、『あの人を介抱してあげてください。足りない分は、私が帰りに寄って払いますから』と頼みました。この三人のうちだれが、強盗に襲われた人の隣人になったと思いますか。」律法の専門家は答えました。「もちろん、親切にしてやった人です。」この答えを聞くと、イエスは言われました。「そのとおりです。あなたも同じようにしなさい。」
