If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and do not be afraid.” And when the disciples raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone. As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, “Do not tell the vision to anyone until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Upright is the word of the LORD, and all his works are trustworthy. He loves justice and right; of the kindness of the LORD the earth is full.
See, the eyes of the LORD are upon those who fear him, upon those who hope for his kindness, to deliver them from death and preserve them in spite of famine.
Our soul waits for the LORD, who is our help and our shield. May your kindness, O LORD, be upon us who have put our hope in you.

For upright is the Lord's word and worthy of trust is his work. The Lord loves justice and righteousness; the earth is full of his kindness.
But the Lord's eyes are upon those who fear him, upon those who trust in his loving-kindness to deliver them from death and preserve them from famine.
In hope we wait for the lord, for he is our help and our shield. O Lord, let your love rest upon us, even as our hope rests in you.

Pedro tomó la palabra y dijo a Jesús: “Señor, ¡qué bueno es que estemos aquí! Si quieres, levantaré aquí tres tiendas: una para ti, otra para Moisés y otra para Elías.” Estaba Pedro todavía hablando cuando una nube luminosa los cubrió con su sombra y una voz que salía de la nube dijo: “¡Este es mi Hijo, el Amado; éste es mi Elegido, escúchenlo!” Al oír esto, los discípulos cayeron con el rostro en tierra, llenos de temor Jesús se acercó a ellos, y tocándolos, les dijo: “Levántense, no tengan miedo.” Ellos levantaron los ojos, pero ya no vieron a nadie más que a Jesús. Mendengar itu tersungkurlah murid-murid-Nya dan mereka sangat ketakutan. Lalu Yesus datang kepada mereka dan menyentuh mereka sambil berkata: "Berdirilah, jangan takut!" Dan ketika mereka mengangkat kepala, mereka tidak melihat seorangpun kecuali Yesus seorang diri. Pada waktu mereka turun dari gunung itu, Yesus berpesan kepada mereka: "Jangan kamu ceriterakan penglihatan itu kepada seorangpun sebelum Anak Manusia dibangkitkan dari antara orang mati."

Ngunit nilapitan sila ni Jesus at hinawakan. “Tumayo kayo, huwag kayong matakot!” sabi niya. Nang tumingin sila, si Jesus na lamang ang kanilang nakita. Habang sila'y bumababa sa bundok, iniutos sa kanila ni Jesus, “Huwag ninyong sasabihin kaninuman ang tungkol sa pangitain hangga't hindi muling nabubuhay ang Anak ng Tao.”

もしあなたが、この力を奮い起こすなら、主について人前で語るのをためらったり、キリストのゆえに牢獄につながれている私のことを恥じたりしなくなるでしょう。それどころか、私と共に苦しむ覚悟ができるはずです。神は苦しみのただ中にあっても、力を与えてくださるのですから。神は私たちを救い、そのきよい仕事に任命するために選んでくださいました。それは、私たちにその仕事をする資格があったからではなく、神の計画と恵みによるのです。この恵みは、キリスト・イエスにおいて、この世の始まる前から私たちに与えられたものでした。そして、救い主キリスト・イエスが地上に来られた今、神は、その計画の全貌を明らかにしてくださいました。キリストは死の力を打ち破り、ご自分を信頼する者に、永遠のいのちに至る道を開いてくださったのです。

主はアブラムに言われた。「あなたは生まれ故郷父の家を離れてわたしが示す地に行きなさい。わたしはあなたを大いなる国民にしあなたを祝福し、あなたの名を高める祝福の源となるように。あなたを祝福する人をわたしは祝福しあなたを呪う者をわたしは呪う。地上の氏族はすべてあなたによって祝福に入る。」アブラムは、主の言葉に従って旅立った。
第二読み物（テモテへの第二手紙第1章：第8詩–第10詩）
この読み物はテモテへの第二手紙です。
だから、わたしたちの主を証しすることも、わたしが主の囚人であることも恥じてはなりません。むしろ、神の力に支えられて、福音のためにわたしと共に苦しみを忍んでください。神がわたしたちを救い、聖なる招きによって呼び出してくださったのは、わたしたちの行いによるのではなく、御自身の計画と恵みによるのです。この恵みは、永遠の昔にキリスト・イエスにおいてわたしたちのために与えられ、今や、わたしたちの救い主キリスト・イエスの出現によって明らかにされたものです。キリストは死を滅ぼし、福音を通して不滅の命を現してくださいました。
福音書（マタイ第17章：第1詩–第9詩）
この読み物はマタイの福音書です。
六日の後、イエスは、ペトロ、それにヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に登られた。イエスの姿が彼らの目の前で変わり、顔は太陽のように輝き、服は光のように白くなった。見ると、モーセとエリヤが現れ、イエスと語り合っていた。ペトロが口をはさんでイエスに言った。「主よ、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。お望みでしたら、わたしがここに仮小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのため、一つはモーセのため、もう一つはエリヤのためです。」ペトロがこう話しているうちに、光り輝く雲が彼らを覆った。すると、「これはわたしの愛する子、わたしの心に適う者。これに聞け」という声が雲の中から聞こえた。弟子たちはこれを聞いてひれ伏し、非常に恐れた。イエスは近づき、彼らに手を触れて言われた。「起きなさい。恐れることはない。」彼らが顔を上げて見ると、イエスのほかにはだれもいなかった。一同が山を下りるとき、イエスは、「人の子が死者の中から復活するまで、今見たことをだれにも話してはならない」と弟子たちに命じられた。
