The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "If someone has on his skin a scab or pustule or blotch which appears to be the sore of leprosy, he shall be brought to Aaron, the priest, or to one of the priests among his descendants. The man has a scaly infection and is unclean. The priest shall declare him unclean; his infection is on his head. If the man is leprous and unclean, the priest shall declare him unclean by reason of the sore on his head. "The one who bears the sore of leprosy shall keep his garments rent and his head bare, and shall muffle his beard; he shall cry out, 'Unclean, unclean!' As long as the sore is on him he shall declare himself unclean, since he is in fact unclean. He shall dwell apart, making his abode outside the camp."
Second reading (1 Corinthians: 10:31 – 11:1)

Brothers and sisters, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. Avoid giving offense, whether to the Jews or Greeks or the church of God, just as I try to please everyone in every way, not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, that they may be saved. Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

A leper came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said, "If you wish, you can make me clean." Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean." The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean. Then, warning the him sternly, he dismissed him at once. He said to him, "See that you tell no one anything, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them." The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter. He spread the report abroad so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly. The Lord stated to Moses and Aaron, "If someone has a boil, an inflammation or a sore on his skin, which could develop into leprosy, he must be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of the priests, his descendants. This means that the man is leprous: he is unclean. The priest shall declare him unclean; he is suffering from leprosy of the head. A person infected with leprosy must wear torn clothing and leave his hair uncombed; he must cover his upper lip and cry, "Unclean, unclean." As along as the disease lasts he must be unclean; and therefore he must live away from others: he must live outside the camp.
Second reading (1 Corinthians: 10:31 – 11:1)
A reading from the first letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
Whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. Give no offense to the Jews, or to the Greeks, or to the Church of God, just as I try to please everyone in everything. Gospel (Mark 1: 40–45)

A leper came to Jesus and implored him, "If you so will, you can make me clean." Moved with pity, Jesus stretch out his hand and touched him, saying, "I will; be clean." The leprosy left the man once and he was made clean. As Jesus sent the man away, he sternly warned him, "Do not tell anybody about this, but go and show yourself to the priest and for the cleansing bring the offering order by Moses; in this way you will make your declaration." However, as soon as the man went out, he began spreading the news everywhere, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter any town. But even though Jesus stayed in rural areas, people came to him from everywhere.

El Señor dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: "Cuando alguno tenga en su carne una o varias manchas escamosas o una mancha blanca y brillante, síntomas de la lepra, será llevado ante el sacerdote Aarón o ante cualquiera de sus hijos sacerdotes. Se trata de un leproso, y el sacerdote lo declarará impuro. El que haya sido declarado enfermo de lepra, traerá la ropa descosida, la cabeza descubierta, se cubrirá la boca e irá gritando: '¡Estoy contaminado! ¡Soy impuro!' Mientras le dure la lepra, seguirá impuro y vivirá solo, fuera del campamento."
Salmo responsorial (Salmo 31) (Versículos 1–2, 5 y 11)
La respuesta es: Perdona, Señor, nuestros pecados.
• Dichoso aquel que ha sido absuelto de su culpa a su pecado. Dichoso aquel en el que Dios no encuentra ni delito ni engaño.

Evangelio (Marcos 1: 40–45)
Una lectura del Evangelio Santo según el san Marcos.
En aquel tiempo, se le acercó a Jesús un leproso para suplicarle de rodillas: "Si tú quieres, puedes curarme". Jesús se compadeció de él, y extendiendo la mano, lo tocó y le dijo: "¡Sí quiero: Sana!" Inmediatamente se le quitó la lepra y quedó limpio. Al despedirlo, Jesús le mandó con severidad: "No se lo cuentes a nadie; pero para que conste, ve a presentarte al sacerdote y ofrece por tu purificación lo prescrito por Moisés." Pero aquel hombre comenzó a divulgar tanto el hecho, que Jesús no podía ya entrar abiertamente en la ciudad, sino que se quedaba fuera, en lugares solitarios, a donde acudían a él de todas partes.

Gumaling ka!” Noon di'y nawala ang ketong ng lalaki at siya'y naging malinis. Matapos mapagbilinan, agad siyang pinaalis ni Jesus at pinagsabihan ng ganito: “Huwag mong sasabihin ito kaninuman. Sa halip ay magpunta ka at magpasuri sa pari. Pagkatapos, mag-alay ka ng handog para sa Diyos ayon sa iniutos ni Moises bilang patunay sa mga tao na ikaw ay magaling at malinis na.” Ngunit pagkaalis ng lalaki ay kanyang ipinamalita ang nangyari sa kanya. Dahil dito, hindi na nakapasok pa ng bayan si Jesus. Nanatili na lamang siya sa mga hindi mataong lugar, subalit pinupuntahan pa rin siya ng mga tao mula sa iba't ibang dako.

Orang yang sakit kusta harus berpakaian yang cabik-cabik, rambutnya terurai dan lagi ia harus menutupi mukanya sambil berseru-seru: Najis! Najis! Sama seperti aku juga berusaha menyenangkan hati semua orang dalam segala hal, bukan untuk kepentingan diriku, tetapi untuk kepentingan orang banyak, supaya mereka beroleh selamat. Jadilah pengikutku, sama seperti aku juga menjadi pengikut Kristus.

Seketika itu juga lenyaplah penyakit kusta orang itu, dan ia menjadi tahir. Segera Ia menyuruh orang itu pergi dengan peringatan keras: "Ingatlah, janganlah engkau memberitahukan apa-apa tentang hal ini kepada siapa pun, tetapi pergilah, perlihatkanlah dirimu kepada imam dan persembahkanlah untuk pentahiranmu persembahan, yang diperintahkan oleh Musa, sebagai bukti bagi mereka." 第二読み物（コリント人への手紙一第10章：第31詩–第11章：第1詩）
