First reading (Isaiah 25: 6–10A)
A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah.
On this mountain, the LORD of hosts will provide for all peoples a feast of rich food and choice wines, juicy, rich food and pure, choice wines. On this mountain he will destroy the veil that veils all peoples, the web that is woven over all nations; he will destroy death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face; the reproach of his people he will remove from the whole earth; for the LORD has spoken. On that day it will be said: "Behold our God, to whom we looked to save us! This is the LORD for whom we looked; let us rejoice and be glad that he has saved us!" For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain.
Second reading (Philippians 4: 12–14 and 19–20)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians.
Brothers and sisters: I know how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. I can do all things in him who strengthens me. Still, it was kind of you to share in my distress. My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen.
Gospel (Matthew 22: 1–14)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew.
Jesus again in reply spoke to the chief priests and elders of the people in parables, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time he sent other servants, saying, 'Tell those invited: "Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast."' Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, 'The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.' The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to meet the guests, he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. The king said to him, 'My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?' But he was reduced to silence. Then the king said to his attendants, 'Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.' Many are invited, but few are chosen."

On this mountain he will destroy the pall cast over all peoples, this very shroud spread over all nations, and death will be no more. The Lord God will wipe away the tears from all cheeks and eyes; he will take away the humiliation of his people all over the world: for the Lord has spoken. On that day you will state: This is our God. We have waited for him to save us, let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation. For on his mountain the hand of the Lord rests.
Second reading (Philippians 4: 12–14 and 19–20)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians.
I know what it is to be in want and what it is to have plenty. I am trained for both: to be hungry or satisfied, to have much or little. I can do all things in him who strengthens me. However you did right in sharing my trials. God himself will provide you with everything you need, according to his riches, and show you his generosity in Christ Jesus. Glory to God, our Father, forever and ever. Amen.
Gospel (Matthew 22: 1–14)

Jesus went on speaking to the chief priests, the teachers of the Law, and the Jewish authorities in parables: "This story throws light on the kingdom of heaven. A king celebrated the wedding of his son. He sent his servants to call the invited guests to the wedding feast, but the guests refused to come. Again he sent other servants ordering them to state to the invited guests: 'I have prepared a banquet, slaughtered my fattened calves and other animals, and now everything is ready: come then, to the wedding feast.' But they paid no attention and went away, some to their fields, and others to their work. While the rest seized the servants of the king, insulted them and killed them. The king became angry. He sent his troops to destroy those murderers and burn their city. Then he stated to his servants: 'The wedding banquet is prepared, but the invited guests are not worthy. Go, then, to the crossroads and invite everyone you find to the wedding feast.' The servants went out at once into the streets and gathered everyone they found, good and bad alike, so that the hall was filled with guests. The king came in to see those who were at table, and he noticed a man not wearing the festal garment. So he stated to him: 'Friend, how did you get in without the wedding garment?' But the man remained silent. So the king stated to his servants: 'Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the dark where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.' Know that many are called, but few are chosen."

En este cerro quitará el velo de luto que cubría a todos los pueblos y la mortaja que envolvía a todas las naciones. Y destruirá para siempre a la Muerte. El Señor enjugará las lágrimas de todos los rostros; devolverá la honra a su pueblo, y a toda la tierra, pues así lo ha dicho el Señor. Entonces dirán: “Este es, en verdad, nuestro Dios, de quien esperábamos que nos salvara; éste es el Señor, en quien confiábamos. Jesús siguió hablándoles por medio de parábolas: “Aprendan algo del Reino de los Cielos. Un rey preparaba las bodas de su hijo, por lo que mandó a sus servidores a llamar a los invitados a la fiesta. Pero éstos no quisieron venir. De nuevo envió a otros servidores con orden de decir a los invitados: ‘He preparado un banquete, ya hice matar terneras y otros animales gordos y todo está a punto. Vengan, pues, a la fiesta de la boda.’ Pero ellos no hicieron caso, sino que se fueron, unos a sus campos y otros a sus negocios. Los demás tomaron a los servidores del rey, los maltrataron y los mataron. El rey se enojó y envió a sus tropas, que dieron muerte a aquellos asesinos e incendiaron su ciudad. Después dijo a sus servidores: ‘El banquete de bodas sigue esperando, pero los que habían sido invitados no eran dignos. Vayan, pues, a las esquinas de las calles e inviten a la fiesta a todos los que encuentren.’ Los servidores salieron inmediatamente a los caminos y reunieron a todos los que encontraron, malos y buenos, de modo que la sala se llenó de invitados. Después entró el rey para conocer a los que estaban sentados a la mesa, y vio un hombre que no se había puesto el traje de fiesta. Sa Bundok ng Zion, aanyayahan ng Panginoon na Makapangyarihan sa lahat ang lahat ng bansa para sa isang malaking handaan. Pinakamasasarap na pagkain at alak ang kanyang ipinahanda. Sa bundok ding ito'y papawiin niya ang ulap ng kalungkutang naghahari sa lahat ng bansa. Lubusan nang pupuksain ng Panginoon ang kamatayan, at papahirin ang mga luha sa kanilang mga mata. Aalisin niya sa kahihiyan ang kanyang bayan. Sasabihin ng lahat sa araw na iyon: “Siya ang hinihintay nating Diyos na sa ati'y magliligtas, siya ang Panginoon na ating inaasahan. Magalak tayo at magdiwang, sapagkat tayo'y kanyang iniligtas.” Iingatan ng Panginoon ang Bundok ng Zion.

Ang lahat ng ito'y magagawa ko dahil sa lakas na kaloob sa akin ni Cristo. Gayunman, ikinagagalak ko ang inyong pagdamay sa aking mga paghihirap. Muli siyang nagsugo ng ibang mga lingkod at kanyang pinagbilinan ng ganito: ‘Sabihin ninyo sa mga inanyayahan na nakahanda na ang mga pagkain, kinatay na ang aking mga baka at mga pinatabang guya, at handa na ang lahat. Halina kayo!’ Ngunit hindi ito pinansin ng mga inanyayahan. Sa halip, pumunta sila sa kani-kanilang lakad. May nagpunta sa kanyang bukid at mayroon namang nag-asikaso ng kanyang negosyo. Sinunggaban naman ng iba ang mga lingkod, hinamak at pinatay. Tinanong niya ito, ‘Kaibigan, bakit ka pumasok dito nang hindi nakasuot ng damit pangkasalan?’ Hindi nakasagot ang tao, kaya't sinabi ng hari sa mga lingkod, ‘Talian ninyo ang kanyang kamay at paa, at itapon siya sa kadiliman sa labas. Doo'y mananangis siya at magngangalit ang kanyang mga ngipin.’” Pagkatapos nito'y sinabi ni Jesus, “Marami ang tinatawag, ngunit kakaunti ang pinili.”

TUHAN semesta alam akan menyediakan di gunung Sion ini bagi segala bangsa-bangsa suatu perjamuan dengan masakan yang bergemuk, suatu perjamuan dengan anggur yang tua benar, masakan yang bergemuk dan bersumsum, anggur yang tua yang disaring endapannya. Dan di atas gunung ini TUHAN akan mengoyakkan kain perkabungan yang diselubungkan kepada segala suku bangsa dan tudung yang ditudungkan kepada segala bangsa-bangsa. Ia akan meniadakan maut untuk seterusnya; dan Tuhan ALLAH akan menghapuskan air mata dari pada segala muka; dan aib umat-Nya akan dijauhkan-Nya dari seluruh bumi, sebab TUHAN telah mengatakannya. Pada waktu itu orang akan berkata: "Sesungguhnya, inilah Allah kita, yang kita nanti-nantikan, supaya kita diselamatkan. Inilah TUHAN yang kita nanti-nantikan; marilah kita bersorak-sorak dan bersukacita oleh karena keselamatan yang diadakan-Nya!" Sebab tangan TUHAN akan melindungi gunung ini, tetapi Moab akan diinjak-injak di tempatnya sendiri.
Mazmur (Mazmur 23) (Ayat 1–6)
Tanggapan adalah: Aku akan diam rumah Tuhan sepanjang masa.
• TUHAN adalah gembalaku, takkan kekurangan aku. Ia membaringkan aku di padang yang berumput hijau, Ia membimbing aku ke air yang tenang; Ia menyegarkan jiwaku. Ia menuntun aku di jalan yang benar oleh karena nama-Nya.
• Sekalipun aku berjalan dalam lembah kekelaman, aku tidak takut bahaya, sebab Engkau besertaku; gada-Mu dan tongkat-Mu, itulah yang menghibur aku.
• Engkau menyediakan hidangan bagiku, di hadapan lawanku; Engkau mengurapi kepalaku dengan minyak; pialaku penuh melimpah.
• Kebajikan dan kemurahan belaka akan mengikuti aku, seumur hidupku; dan aku akan diam dalam rumah TUHAN sepanjang masa.

Aku tahu apa itu kekurangan dan aku tahu apa itu kelimpahan. Dalam segala hal dan dalam segala perkara tidak ada sesuatu yang merupakan rahasia bagiku; baik dalam hal kenyang, maupun dalam hal kelaparan, baik dalam hal kelimpahan maupun dalam hal kekurangan. Segala perkara dapat kutanggung di dalam Dia yang memberi kekuatan kepadaku. Namun baik juga perbuatanmu, bahwa kamu telah mengambil bagian dalam kesusahanku. Allahku akan memenuhi segala keperluanmu menurut kekayaan dan kemuliaan-Nya dalam Kristus Yesus. Dimuliakanlah Allah dan Bapa kita selama-lamanya! Amin.

天の軍勢の主は、エルサレムにあるシオンの山で、全世界の人々のために豪華な宴会を催します。おいしいごちそうと、熟成したぶどう酒、それに脂肪ののった肉が出ます。その時、神は、地表を覆っている死の雲を取り除き、永久にのみ尽くします。神である主は、すべての涙をぬぐい、ご自分の国と国民に対するいっさいの侮辱とさげすみとを、永久に取り除きます。主がそう語ったのですから、必ずそのとおりになります。その日、人々は、「このお方こそ、私たちが信頼し、長い間待ち続けた神だ。とうとう、おいでになったのだ」と大声で叫びます。なんと喜びにあふれた日でしょう。主の恵みの御手はエルサレムにとどまり、一方、モアブは御足の下でわらのように踏みにじられ、腐ってしまうのです。
第二読み物（ピリピ人第4章：第12詩–第14詩と第19詩–第20詩）
この読み物はピリピ人への手紙です。
無一文の時にも、何でもそろっている時にも、どのように生活すべきか知っています。満腹の時にも空腹の時にも、豊かな時にも貧しい時にも、どんな境遇でも満足する秘訣を身につけました。力を与え、強めてくださる方によって、私は、神に求められるどんなことでもできるからです。しかし、それにしても、よくぞ困難な状況下にある私を助けてくれました。神は、キリスト・イエスが成し遂げてくださったことによるご自身の栄光の富の中から、あなたがたに必要なものをすべて満たしてくださる方です。父なる神に、栄光が、とこしえに限りなくありますように。アーメン。
福音書（マタイ第22章：第1詩–第14詩）
この読み物はマタイの福音書です。
天の御国（神が支配される国、生き方）がどのようなものかを教えようと、イエスはまた幾つかのたとえ話をなさいました。「たとえば天の御国は、王子のために盛大な結婚披露宴を準備した王のようなものです。大ぜいの客が招待されました。宴会の準備がすっかり整ったので、王は使いを送り、招待客を呼びに行かせました。ところが、みな出席を断ってきたのです。それで王は、もう一度別の使いをやり、こう言わせました。『何もかも用意ができました。肉も焼き始めています。おいでを待つばかりです。』ところが、招待客はそれを気にかけず、ある者は農場へ、ある者は自分の店へと出かけて行きました。そればかりか、中には王の使者に恥をかかせたり、なぐったり、殺してしまう者さえいました。これを聞いて怒った王は、すぐさま軍兵を出動させ、人殺しどもを滅ぼし、彼らの町を焼き払ってしまいました。そして王は、『披露宴の準備はできたというのに、招いておいた者たちはそれにふさわしくなかった。さあ、町へ行って、出会う者は片っぱしから、みな招くのだ』と命じました。王の使者たちは、命令どおり、善人悪人の区別なく、だれでも招待しました。宴会場は客でいっぱいです。ところが、王が客に会おうと出て来ると、用意しておいた婚礼の礼服を着ていない客が一人います。『礼服もつけずに、どうしてここへ入って来たのか』と尋ねましたが、その男は何とも返事をしません。それで王は、側近の者たちに命じました。『この男の手足を縛って、外の暗闇に放り出しなさい。そこで泣いてくやしがるのだ。』招待される人は多くても、選ばれる人は少ないのです。」

万軍の主はこの山で祝宴を開きすべての民に良い肉と古い酒を供される。それは脂肪に富む良い肉とえり抜きの酒。主はこの山ですべての民の顔を包んでいた布とすべての国を覆っていた布を滅ぼし死を永久に滅ぼしてくださる。主なる神は、すべての顔から涙をぬぐい御自分の民の恥を地上からぬぐい去ってくださる。これは主が語られたことである。その日には、人は言う。見よ、この方こそわたしたちの神。わたしたちは待ち望んでいた。この方がわたしたちを救ってくださる。この方こそわたしたちが待ち望んでいた主。その救いを祝って喜び躍ろう。主の御手はこの山の上にとどまる。
第二読み物（フィリピの信徒第4章：第12詩–第14詩と第19詩–第20詩）

貧しく暮らすすべも、豊かに暮らすすべも知っています。満腹していても、空腹であっても、物が有り余っていても不足していても、いついかなる場合にも対処する秘訣を授かっています。わたしを強めてくださる方のお陰で、わたしにはすべてが可能です。それにしても、あなたがたは、よくわたしと苦しみを共にしてくれました。わたしの神は、御自分の栄光の富に応じて、キリスト・イエスによって、あなたがたに必要なものをすべて満たしてくださいます。わたしたちの父である神に、栄光が世々限りなくありますように、アーメン。

イエスは、また、たとえを用いて語られた。「天の国は、ある王が王子のために婚宴を催したのに似ている。王は家来たちを送り、婚宴に招いておいた人々を呼ばせたが、来ようとしなかった。そこでまた、次のように言って、別の家来たちを使いに出した。『招いておいた人々にこう言いなさい。「食事の用意が整いました。牛や肥えた家畜を屠って、すっかり用意ができています。さあ、婚宴においでください。」』しかし、人々はそれを無視し、一人は畑に、一人は商売に出かけ、また、他の人々は王の家来たちを捕まえて乱暴し、殺してしまった。そこで、王は怒り、軍隊を送って、この人殺しどもを滅ぼし、その町を焼き払った。そして、家来たちに言った。『婚宴の用意はできているが、招いておいた人々は、ふさわしくなかった。だから、町の大通りに出て、見かけた者はだれでも婚宴に連れて来なさい。』そこで、家来たちは通りに出て行き、見かけた人は善人も悪人も皆集めて来たので、婚宴は客でいっぱいになった。王が客を見ようと入って来ると、婚礼の礼服を着ていない者が一人いた。王は、『友よ、どうして礼服を着ないでここに入って来たのか』と言った。この者が黙っていると、王は側近の者たちに言った。『この男の手足を縛って、外の暗闇にほうり出せ。そこで泣きわめいて歯ぎしりするだろう。』招かれる人は多いが、選ばれる人は少ない。」
