First reading (Ezekiel 47: 1–2, 8–9, and 12)
A reading from the book of the prophet Ezekiel.
Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and there! I saw water flowing out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east. The water flowed out toward the right side of the temple to the south of the altar. He brought me by way of the north gate and around the outside to the outer gate facing east; there I saw water trickling from the southern side. He said to me, “This water flows out into the eastern district, runs down into the Arabah and empties into the polluted waters of the sea to freshen them. Wherever it flows, the river teems with every kind of living creature; fish will abound. Where these waters flow they refresh; everything lives where the river goes. Along each bank of the river every kind of fruit tree will grow; their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fresh fruit because the waters of the river flow out from the sanctuary. Their fruit is used for food, and their leaves for healing.”
Second reading (1 Corinthians 3: 9–11, 16–17)
A reading from the first letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
For we are God’s co-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must be careful how he builds upon it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely, Jesus Christ. Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.
Gospel (John 2: 13–22)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
Since the Passover of the Jews was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money-changers seated there. He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves he said, “Take these out of here, and stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” His disciples recalled the words of scripture, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” At this the Jews answered and said to him, “What sign can you show us for doing this?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. Therefore, when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they came to believe the scripture and the word Jesus had spoken.

The man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple and I saw water coming out from the threshold of the Temple and flowing eastwards. The Temple faced the east and the water flowed from the south side of the Temple, from the south side of the altar. He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing the east and there I saw the stream coming from the south side. He said to me, "This water goes to the east, down to the Arabah, and when it flows into the sea of foul-smelling water, the water will become wholesome. Wherever the river flows, swarms of creatures will live in it; fish will be plentiful and the sea water will become fresh. Wherever it flows, life will abound. Near the river on both banks, there will be all kinds of fruit trees with foliage that will not wither and fruit that will never fail; each month, they will bear a fresh crop because the water comes from the Temple. The fruit will be good to eat and the leaves will be used for healing.
Second reading (1 Corinthians 3: 9–11, 16–17)
A reading from the first letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
We are fellow-workers with God, but you are God's field and building. I, as a good architect, according to the capacity given to me, I laid the foundation, and another is to build upon it. Each one must be careful how to build upon it. No one can lay a foundation other than the one which is already laid, which is Jesus Christ. Do you now know that you are God's temple, and that God's Spirit abides within you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him. God's temple is holy, and you are this temple.
Gospel (John 2: 13–22)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
As the Passover of the Jews was at hand, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the Temple court he found merchants selling oxen, sheep and doves, and money-changers seated at their tables. Making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the Temple court, together with the oxen and sheep. He knocked over the tables of the money-changers, scattering the coins, and ordered the people selling doves, "Take all this away and stop turning my Father's house into a marketplace!" His disciples recalled the words of scripture: Zeal for your House devours me as a fire. The Jews then questioned Jesus, "Where are the miraculous signs which give you the right to do this?" And Jesus said, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up." The Jews then replied, "The building of this temple has already taken forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?" Actually, Jesus was referring to the temple of his body. Only when he had risen from the dead did his disciples remember these words; then they believed both the Scripture and the words Jesus had spoken.

Él me llevó a la entrada del Templo y vi que brotaba agua de debajo del dintel de la Casa: corría hacia el oriente igual como la Casa que daba al oriente. El agua brotaba del lado sur del altar. Me hizo salir por el pórtico norte y que diera la vuelta por el exterior hasta el pórtico este: el agua corría ahora a mi derecha. Dijo: “Esa agua corre hacia la región este, desciende hacia la Arabá y desemboca en el Mar Muerto para que sus aguas queden sanas. Todo ser viviente, todo lo que se mueva por donde pase el torrente se llenará de vida; la pesca será allí muy abundante. Bastará con que lleguen sus aguas para que haya salud y vida por donde ellas pasen. En las márgenes del torrente, desde principio a fin, crecerán toda clase de árboles frutales; su follaje no se secará, tendrán frutas en cualquier estación: Producirán todos los meses gracias a esa agua que viene del santuario. La gente se alimentará con sus frutas y sus hojas les servirán de remedio.”

• Dios es nuestro refugio y fortaleza, una ayuda siempre pronta en los peligros. Por eso no tememos, aunque la tierra se conmueva y las montañas se desplomen hasta el fondo del mar.
• Los canales del Río alegran la Ciudad de Dios, la más santa Morada del Altísimo. Dios está en medio de ella: nunca vacilará; él la socorrerá al despuntar la aurora.
• El Señor de los ejércitos está con nosotros, nuestro baluarte es el Dios de Jacob. Vengan a contemplar las obras del Señor, él hace cosas admirables en la tierra.

Porque nosotros somos cooperadores de Dios, y ustedes son el campo de Dios, el edificio de Dios. El fundamento ya está puesto y nadie puede poner otro, porque el fundamento es Jesucristo. ¿No saben que ustedes son templo de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios habita en ustedes? Si alguno destruye el templo de Dios, Dios lo destruirá a él. Porque el templo de Dios es sagrado, y ustedes son ese templo.

Se acercaba la Pascua de los judíos. Jesús subió a Jerusalén y encontró en el Templo a los vendedores de bueyes, ovejas y palomas y a los cambistas sentados delante de sus mesas. Hizo un látigo de cuerdas y los echó a todos del Templo, junto con sus ovejas y sus bueyes; desparramó las monedas de los cambistas, derribó sus mesas y dijo a los vendedores de palomas: “Saquen esto de aquí y no hagan de la casa de mi Padre una casa de comercio.” Y sus discípulos recordaron las palabras de la Escritura: El celo por tu Casa me consumirá. Entonces los judíos le preguntaron: “¿Qué signo nos das para obrar así?” Jesús les respondió: “Destruyan este templo y en tres días lo volveré a levantar.” Los judíos le dijeron: “Han sido necesarios cuarenta y seis años para construir este Templo, ¿y tú lo vas a levantar en tres días?” Pero él se refería al templo de su cuerpo. Por eso, cuando Jesús resucitó, sus discípulos recordaron que él había dicho esto, y creyeron en la Escritura y en la palabra que había pronunciado.

Replicaron los judíos: "Cuarenta y seis años se ha llevado la construcción del templo, ¿y tú lo vas a levantar en tres días?" Pero él hablaba del templo de su cuerpo. Por eso, cuando resucitó Jesús de entre los muertos, se acordaron sus discípulos de que había dicho aquello y creyeron en la Escritura y en las palabras que Jesús había dicho.

Pag-abot nito sa Dagat na Patay, malilinis ang tubig nito. Lahat ng lugar na maagusan nito ay magkakaroon ng lahat ng uri ng hayop at isda. Hindi ba ninyo alam na kayo'y templo ng Diyos at naninirahan sa inyo ang kanyang Espiritu? Paparusahan ng Diyos ang sinumang magwasak ng templo niya. Huwag ninyong gawing palengke ang bahay ng aking Ama!” Naalala ng kanyang mga alagad ang sinasabi sa kasulatan, “Ang malasakit ko sa iyong bahay ang tutupok sa akin.” Dahil dito'y tinanong siya ng mga pinuno ng Judio, “Anong himala ang maipapakita mo upang patunayang may karapatan kang gawin ito?” Sumagot si Jesus, “Gibain ninyo ang Templong ito, at sa loob ng tatlong araw ay muli ko itong itatayo.” Sinabi ng mga Judio, “Apatnapu't anim na taong ginawa ang Templong ito, at itatayo mo sa loob lamang ng tatlong araw?” Ngunit ang templong tinutukoy ni Jesus ay ang kanyang katawan. Pada kedua tepi sungai itu tumbuh bermacam-macam pohon buah-buahan, yang daunnya tidak layu dan buahnya tidak habis-habis; tiap bulan ada lagi buahnya yang baru, sebab pohon-pohon itu mendapat air dari tempat kudus itu. Buahnya menjadi makanan dan daunnya menjadi obat."

Tetapi tiap-tiap orang harus memperhatikan, bagaimana ia harus membangun di atasnya. Karena tidak ada seorang pun yang dapat meletakkan dasar lain dari pada dasar yang telah diletakkan, yaitu Yesus Kristus. Tidak tahukah kamu, bahwa kamu adalah bait Allah dan bahwa Roh Allah diam di dalam kamu? Jika ada orang yang membinasakan bait Allah, maka Allah akan membinasakan dia. Sebab bait Allah adalah kudus dan bait Allah itu ialah kamu.

Ia membuat cambuk dari tali lalu mengusir mereka semua dari Bait Suci dengan semua kambing domba dan lembu mereka; uang penukar-penukar dihamburkan-Nya ke tanah dan meja-meja mereka dibalikkan-Nya. Kepada pedagang-pedagang merpati Ia berkata: "Ambil semuanya ini dari sini, jangan kamu membuat rumah Bapa-Ku menjadi tempat berjualan." Maka teringatlah murid-murid-Nya, bahwa ada tertulis: "Cinta untuk rumah-Mu menghanguskan Aku." Orang-orang Yahudi menantang Yesus, katanya: "Tanda apakah dapat Engkau tunjukkan kepada kami, bahwa Engkau berhak bertindak demikian?" Jawab Yesus kepada mereka: "Rombak Bait Allah ini, dan dalam tiga hari Aku akan mendirikannya kembali." Lalu kata orang Yahudi kepada-Nya: "Empat puluh enam tahun orang mendirikan Bait Allah ini dan Engkau dapat membangunnya dalam tiga hari?" Tetapi yang dimaksudkan-Nya dengan Bait Allah ialah tubuh-Nya sendiri. Kemudian, sesudah Ia bangkit dari antara orang mati, barulah teringat oleh murid-murid-Nya bahwa hal itu telah dikatakan-Nya, dan mereka pun percayalah akan Kitab Suci dan akan perkataan yang telah diucapkan Yesus.

私たちは神の協力者にすぎません。あなたがたは私たちの畑ではなく、神の畑です。私たちの建物ではなく、神の建物です。神様は恵みによって、私に、どうしたら腕のよい建築家になれるかを教えてくださいました。私が土台をすえ、アポロがその上に建物を建てました。しかし、その土台の上に建物を建てるには、細心の注意が必要です。私たちがすでに持っている本物の土台、イエス・キリスト以外に、土台をすえることなどだれにもできないのです。あなたがたは自分たちが神の家であり、神の聖霊が自分の内に住んでおられることがわからないのですか。もし神の家を汚したり、こわしたりする人がいれば、神様はその人を滅ぼされます。なぜなら、神の家は聖なるものだからです。あなたがたは、その神の家なのです。

ユダヤ人の過越の祭り（パン種を入れないパンを食べる、年に一度のユダヤ人の祭り）が近づき、イエスはエルサレムへ行かれました。宮の境内には、供え物用の牛や羊、鳩を売る商人たちと、座って両替をしている人たちがいました。それを見て、イエスはなわでむちを作り、商売人たちをみな追い出し、鳩や羊や牛を追い散らし始めました。次々に両替人の台をひっくり返したので、お金があたり一面に散らばりました。イエスは鳩を売る者たちに、「それを持って出て行きなさい。父の家を金もうけの場所にしてはいけません」と言われました。そのとき弟子たちは、「神の家を思う熱心が、わたしを焼き尽くす」という、聖書の預言を思い出したのです。おさまらないユダヤ人の指導者たちは、かんかんになって言いました。「いったい何の権利があってこの人たちを追い出すのか。そんな権威を神から与えられているのだったら、その証拠に奇跡を見せてもらおう。」イエスはお答えになりました。「わかりました。この神殿をこわしなさい。三日で建て直してみせましょう。」「なんということを！この神殿は建てるのに四十六年もかかったのだ。それを三日で建てると言うのか。」ユダヤ人たちはあきれ返りました。しかし、イエスが「この神殿」と言われたのは、ご自分の体のことだったのです。イエスが復活されたあとで、弟子たちはこの時のことを思い出しました。そして、イエスがご自分のことを聖書のことばを引用して話されたのであり、そのとおりになったことを知ったのです。
第一読み物（エゼキエル書第47章：第1詩–第2詩と第8詩–第9詩と第12詩）

彼はわたしを神殿の入り口に連れ戻した。すると見よ、水が神殿の敷居の下から湧き上がって、東の方へ流れていた。神殿の正面は東に向いていた。水は祭壇の南側から出て神殿の南壁の下を流れていた。彼はわたしを北の門から外へ回らせ、東に向かう外の門に導いた。見よ、水は南壁から流れていた。彼はわたしに言った。「これらの水は東の地域へ流れ、アラバに下り、海、すなわち汚れた海に入って行く。すると、その水はきれいになる。川が流れて行く所ではどこでも、群がるすべての生き物は生き返り、魚も非常に多くなる。この水が流れる所では、水がきれいになるからである。この川が流れる所では、すべてのものが生き返る。川のほとり、その岸には、こちら側にもあちら側にも、あらゆる果樹が大きくなり、葉は枯れず、果実は絶えることなく、月ごとに実をつける。水が聖所から流れ出るからである。その果実は食用となり、葉は薬用となる。」
第二読み物（コリントの信徒への手紙一第3章：第9詩–第11詩と第16詩–第17詩）
この読み物はコリントの信徒への手紙一です。
わたしたちは神のために力を合わせて働く者であり、あなたがたは神の畑、神の建物なのです。わたしは、神からいただいた恵みによって、熟練した建築家のように土台を据えました。そして、他の人がその上に家を建てています。ただ、おのおの、どのように建てるかに注意すべきです。イエス・キリストという既に据えられている土台を無視して、だれもほかの土台を据えることはできません。あなたがたは、自分が神の神殿であり、神の霊が自分たちの内に住んでいることを知らないのですか。神の神殿を壊す者がいれば、神はその人を滅ぼされるでしょう。神の神殿は聖なるものだからです。あなたがたはその神殿なのです。
福音書（ヨハネ第2章：第13詩–第22詩）
この読み物はヨハネによる福音書です。
ユダヤ人の過越祭が近づいたので、イエスはエルサレムへ上って行かれた。そして、神殿の境内で牛や羊や鳩を売っている者たちと、座って両替をしている者たちを御覧になった。イエスは縄で鞭を作り、羊や牛をすべて境内から追い出し、両替人の金をまき散らし、その台を倒し、鳩を売る者たちに言われた。「このような物はここから運び出せ。わたしの父の家を商売の家としてはならない。」弟子たちは、「あなたの家を思う熱意がわたしを食い尽くす」と書いてあるのを思い出した。ユダヤ人たちはイエスに、「あなたは、こんなことをするからには、どんなしるしをわたしたちに見せるつもりか」と言った。イエスは答えて言われた。「この神殿を壊してみよ。三日で建て直してみせる。」それでユダヤ人たちは、「この神殿は建てるのに四十六年もかかったのに、あなたは三日で建て直すのか」と言った。イエスの言われる神殿とは、御自分の体のことだったのである。イエスが死者の中から復活されたとき、弟子たちは、イエスがこう言われたのを思い出し、聖書とイエスの語られた言葉とを信じた。

Mi condusse poi all'ingresso del tempio e vidi che sotto la soglia del tempio usciva acqua verso oriente, poiché la facciata del tempio era verso oriente. Quell'acqua scendeva sotto il lato destro del tempio, dalla parte meridionale dell'altare. Mi condusse fuori dalla porta settentrionale e mi fece girare all'esterno fino alla porta esterna che guarda a oriente, e vidi che l'acqua scaturiva dal lato destro. Mi disse: “Queste acque escono di nuovo nella regione orientale, scendono nell'Araba ed entrano nel mare: sboccate in mare, ne risanano le acque. Ogni essere vivente che si muove dovunque arriva il fiume, vivrà: il pesce vi sarà abbondantissimo, perché quelle acque dove giungono, risanano e là dove giungerà il torrente tutto rivivrà. Lungo il fiume, su una riva e sull'altra, crescerà ogni sorta di alberi da frutto, le cui fronde non appassiranno: i loro frutti non cesseranno e ogni mese matureranno, perché le loro acque sgorgano dal santuario. I loro frutti serviranno come cibo e le foglie come medicina.”
Seconda lettura (1 Corinzi 3: 9–11 e 16–17)
Una lettura dalla prima lettera di san Paolo ai Corinzi.
Siamo infatti collaboratori di Dio, e voi siete il campo di Dio, l'edificio di Dio. Secondo la grazia di Dio che mi è stata data, come un sapiente architetto io ho posto il fondamento; un altro poi vi costruisce sopra. Ma ciascuno stia attento come costruisce. Infatti nessuno può porre un fondamento diverso da quello che gia vi si trova, che è Gesù Cristo. Non sapete che siete tempio di Dio e che lo Spirito di Dio abita in voi? Se uno distrugge il tempio di Dio, Dio distruggerà lui. Perché santo è il tempio di Dio, che siete voi.
Vangelo (Giovanni 2: 13–22)
Una lettura dal Santo Vangelo secondo San Giovanni.
Si avvicinava intanto la Pasqua dei Giudei e Gesù salì a Gerusalemme. Trovò nel tempio gente che vendeva buoi, pecore e colombe, e i cambiavalute seduti al banco. Fatta allora una sferza di cordicelle, scacciò tutti fuori del tempio con le pecore e i buoi; gettò a terra il denaro dei cambiavalute e ne rovesciò i banchi, e ai venditori di colombe disse: “Portate via queste cose e non fate della casa del Padre mio un luogo di mercato.” I discepoli si ricordarono che sta scritto: Lo zelo per la tua casa mi divora. Allora i Giudei presero la parola e gli dissero: “Quale segno ci mostri per fare queste cose?” Rispose loro Gesù: “Distruggete questo tempio e in tre giorni lo farò risorgere.” Gli dissero allora i Giudei: “Questo tempio è stato costruito in quarantasei anni e tu in tre giorni lo farai risorgere?” Ma egli parlava del tempio del suo corpo. Quando poi fu risuscitato dai morti, i suoi discepoli si ricordarono che aveva detto questo, e credettero alla Scrittura e alla parola detta da Gesù.
