First Reading (Proverbs 9: 1–6)
A reading from the book of Proverbs.
Wisdom has built her house set upon seven pillars; she has slaughtered her beasts, prepared her wine and laid her table. Next, she sent her servants to call from the central square of the city, "Pass by here, you who are fools." To the senseless she states, "Come, eat and drink of the bread and wine I have prepared. Give up your foolishness and you will live; take the straight path of discernment."
Second Reading (Ephesians 5: 15–20)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians.
Brothers and sisters: Pay attention to how you behave. Do not live as the unwise do, but as responsible persons. Try to make good use of the present time, because these days are evil. So do not be foolish but understand what the will of the Lord is. Do not get drunk: wine leads to levity; but be filled with the Holy Spirit. Gather together to pray with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and celebrate the Lord in your heart, giving thanks to God the Father in the name of Christ Jesus, our Lord, always and for everything.
Gospel (John 6: 51–58)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
Jesus stated this to the Jews, "I am the living bread which has come from heaven; whoever eats of this bread will live forever. The bread I shall give is my flesh and I will give it for the life of the world." The Jews were arguing among themselves, "How can this man give us flesh to eat?" So Jesus replied, "Truly, I say to you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood live with the eternal life and I will raise him up on the last day. My flesh is really food and my blood is drink. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood, live in me and I in them. Just as the Father, who is life, sent me and I have life from the Father, so whoever eats me will have life from me. This is the bread which came from heaven; unlike that of your ancestors, who ate and later died. Those who eat this bread will live forever."

La Sabiduría edificó su casa, talló sus siete columnas, ella envió a sus servidoras a proclamar sobre los sitios más altos de la ciudad: “El que sea incauto, que venga aquí.” Y al falto de entendimiento, le dice: “Vengan, coman de mi pan, y beban del vino que yo mezclé. Abandonen la ingenuidad, y vivirán, y sigan derecho por el camino de la inteligencia.”
Segunda Lectura (Efesios 5: 15-20)
Una lectura de la carta de San Pablo a los Efesios.
Cuiden mucho su conducta y no procedan como necios, sino como personas sensatas que saben aprovechar bien el momento presente, porque estos tiempos son malos. No sean irresponsables, sino traten de saber cuál es la voluntad del Señor. No abusen del vino que lleva al libertinaje; más bien, llénense del Espíritu Santo. Cuando se reúnan, reciten salmos, himnos y cantos espirituales, cantando y celebrando al Señor de todo corazón. Siempre y por cualquier motivo, den gracias a Dios, nuestro Padre, en nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Evangelio (Juan 6: 51-58)

Jesús les dijo esto a los judíos: “Yo soy el pan vivo bajado del cielo. El que coma de este pan vivirá eternamente, y el pan que yo daré es mi carne para la Vida del mundo.” Los judíos discutían entre sí, diciendo: “¿Cómo este hombre puede darnos a comer su carne?” Jesús les respondió: “Les aseguro que si no comen la carne del Hijo del hombre y no beben su sangre, no tendrán Vida en ustedes. Él que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre tiene Vida eterna, y yo lo resucitaré en el último día. Porque mi carne es la verdadera comida y mi sangre, la verdadera bebida. Él que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre permanece en mí y yo en él. Así como yo, que he sido enviado por el Padre que tiene Vida, vivo por el Padre, de la misma manera, el que me come vivirá por mí. Este es el pan bajado del cielo; no como el que comieron sus padres y murieron. El que coma de este pan vivirá eternamente.”

— Bendeciré al Señor en todo tiempo, su alabanza estará siempre en mis labios. Mi alma se gloría en el Señor; que lo oigan los humildes y se alegren.
— Glorifiquen conmigo al Señor, alabemos su Nombre todos juntos. Busqué al Señor: él me respondió y me libró de todos mis temores.
— Miren hacia él y quedarán resplandecientes, y sus rostros no se avergonzarán. Este pobre hombre invocó al Señor: él lo escuchó y los salvó de sus angustias.

Revere the Lord, all you his saints, for those who fear him do not live in want. The mighty may be hungry and in need, but those who seek the Lord lack nothing.
Come, listen to me, my children; I will show you how to fear the Lord. If you desire long life, if you want to enjoy prosperity, keep your tongue from falsehood, keep your lips from deceit; turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
