No more chariots in Ephraim, no more horses in Jerusalem, for he will do away with them. The warrior's bow shall be broken when he dictates peace to the nations. He will reign from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
Second Reading (Romans 8: 9 and 11–13)

Your existence is not in the flesh, but in the spirit, because the Spirit of God is within you. If you did not have the Spirit of Christ, you would not belong to him. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is within you, He who raised Jesus Christ from among the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies. Yes, he will do it through his Spirit who dwells within you. Then, brothers, let us leave the flesh and no longer live according to it. If not, we will die. Rather, walking in the Spirit, let us put to death the body's deeds so that we may live.

Brothers and sisters: You are not in the flesh; on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. DeleteEsto no es un cilio. Es mi intento dibujar lo que quiero decir. Esta mañana, se me ocurrió el pensamiento que debiera jubilarme. Y por los últimos dos años, no me agotan los quehaceres que hacer. De todos estos quehaceres que se necesitan hacer, la mayoría son los que tratan de mis estudiantes, por ser tanto su profesor como alguien que les aconseja. Me preguntaba que si no fuese un profesor, ¿haría otra cosa? Planteé conscientemente esa pregunta en 1992. No pude hallar otra alternativa por lo que quería ser. Es como si todos los días son retos para empezar de nuevo como profesor. Puedo hacer mejor e incluso ser mejor. Traté de encontrar las razones porque no debiera seguir, y no busqué nada. De lo contrario, seguía preguntándome porque necesitaba continuar siendo un profesor. La respuesta es la misma: ver los rostros bellos de mis estudiantes. Yo percibo la energía feroz, la creatividad, y las posibilidades por hacer que este mundo resplandezca como son. Ya no debo preguntarme más estas preguntas innecesarias de por qué soy profesor. Pero, si por alguna vez se me ocurre plantear esa pregunta, la respuesta siempre está allí. La respuesta que entiendo es la capacidad inmensa de mis estudiantes a amar. Y siempre trato de hacer así, paso a paso, muy despacio. Veamos si pueden superarme a amar.
