First reading (Ezekiel 33: 7–9)
A reading from the book of Ezekiel.
Thus says the LORD: You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the house of Israel; when you hear me say anything, you shall warn them for me. If I tell the wicked, "O wicked one, you shall surely die," and you do not speak out to dissuade the wicked from his way, the wicked shall die for his guilt, but I will hold you responsible for his death. But if you warn the wicked, trying to turn him from his way, and he refuses to turn from his way, he shall die for his guilt, but you shall save yourself.

Second reading (Romans 13: 8–10)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans.
Brothers and sisters: Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law.

Gospel (Matthew 18: 15–20)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew.
Jesus said to his disciples: "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won over your brother. If he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, so that 'every fact may be established on the testimony of two or three witnesses.' If he refuses to listen to them, tell the church. If he refuses to listen even to the church, then treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector. Amen, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again, amen, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

First Reading (Ezekiel 33: 7–9)
A reading from the book of the prophet Ezekiel.
Therefore, the Lord states: "For your part, son of man, I have set you as a watchman for Israel, and when you hear my word, you must give them my warning. When I say to the wicked: 'Wicked man, you shall die for sure,' if you do not warn the wicked man to turn him from his ways, he will die because of his sin, but I will also call you to account for his blood. If you warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you yourself will be saved."

Second Reading (Romans 13: 8–10)
A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans.
Do not be in debt to anyone. Let this be the only debt of one to another: Love. The one who loves his or her neighbor fulfilled the Law. For the commandments: Do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not covet and whatever else are summarized in this one: You will love your neighbor as yourself. Love cannot do the neighbor any harm; so love fulfills the whole Law.

Gospel (Matthew 18: 15–20)

Jesus stated this to his disciples, "If your brother or sister has sinned against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are in private, and if he listens to you, you have won your brother. If you are not listen to, take with you one or two others so that the case may be decided by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he still refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembled Church. But if he does not listen to the Church, then regard such a one as a pagan or a publican. I say to you: whatever you bind on earth, heaven will keep bound; and whatever you unbind on earth, heaven will keep unbound. In like manner, I say to you: if on earth two of you are united in asking for anything, it will be granted to you by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered in my Name, I am there among them."

  1. Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 95) (Verses 1–2 and 6–9)
    The response is: If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

    Come, let us sing to the Lord, let us make a joyful sound to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him giving thanks, with music and songs of praise.

    Come and worship let us bow down, kneel before the Lord, our Maker. He is our God, and we are his people; the flock he leads and pastures.

    Would that today you heard his voice! Do not be stubborn, as at Meribah, in the desert, on that day at Massah, when your ancestors challenged me, and they put me to the test.

  2. Primera lectura (Ezequiel 33: 7–9)
    Una lectura del libro del profeta Ezequiel.
    A ti, hijo de hombre, te he puesto como centinela para la casa de Israel, apenas oigas que una palabra sale de mi boca, tendrás que advertírselo de mi parte. Cuando diga al malo: Malo, ¿vas a morir? Si no le hablas, si no haces que se preocupe por su mala conducta, el malo morirá debido a su pecado, pero a ti te pediré cuenta de su sangre. Al contrario, si le has llamado la atención al malo por su mala conducta y no se aparta de ella, si no deja su mala conducta, morirá debido a su pecado y tú nada tendrás que temer.

    Salmo responsorial (Salmo 95) (Versículos 1–2 y 6–9)
    La respuesta es: Si hoy oyes su voz, no endurezcas tu corazón.
    • ¡Vengan, cantemos con júbilo al Señor, aclamemos a la Roca que nos salva! ¡Lleguemos hasta él dándole gracias, aclamemos con música al Señor!
    • ¡Entren, inclinémonos para adorarlo! ¡Doblemos la rodilla ante el Señor que nos creó! Porque él es nuestro Dios, y nosotros, el pueblo que él apacienta, las ovejas conducidas por su mano.
    • Ojalá hoy escuchen la voz del Señor: No endurezcan su corazón como en Meribá, como en el día de Masá, en el desierto, cuando sus padres me tentaron y provocaron, aunque habían visto mis obras.

    Segunda lectura (Romanos 13: 8–10)

    Que la única deuda con los demás sea la del amor mutuo: el que ama al prójimo ya cumplió toda la Ley. Porque los mandamientos: No cometerás adulterio, no matarás, no robarás, no codiciarás, y cualquier otro, se resumen en este: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. El amor no hace más al prójimo. Por lo tanto, el amor es la plenitud de la Ley.

    Evangelio (Mateo 18: 15–20)
    Una lectura del Evangelio Santo según el San Mateo.
    Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos, “Si tu hermano ha pecado, vete a hablar con él a solas para reprochárselo. Si te escucha, has ganado a tu hermano. Si no te escucha, toma contigo una o dos personas más, de modo que el caso se decida por la palabra de dos o tres testigos. Si se niega a escucharlos, informa a la asamblea. Si tampoco escucha a la iglesia, considéralo como un pagano o un publicano. Yo les digo: ‘Todo lo que aten en la tierra, lo mantendrá atado el Cielo, y todo lo que desaten en la tierra, lo mantendrá desatado el Cielo. Asimismo yo les digo: si en la tierra dos de ustedes se ponen de acuerdo para pedir alguna cosa, mi Padre Celestial se lo concederá. Pues donde están dos o tres reunidos en mi Nombre, allí estoy yo, en medio de ellos.’”

  5. Unang pagbabasa (Ezekiel 33: 7–9)
    Ang pagbabasa sa aklat ni propeta Ezekiel.
    “Ikaw, Ezekiel, ang ginagawa kong bantay ng Israel; anumang marinig mo sa akin ay sabihin mo sa kanila bilang babala. Kapag sinabi ko sa taong masama na siya'y mamamatay at di mo ito ipinaalam sa kanya upang makapagbagong-buhay, mamamatay nga siya sa kanyang kasamaan ngunit pananagutan mo ang kanyang kamatayan. Ngunit kapag binigyan mo ng babala ang masama gayunma'y hindi pa rin ito nagbagong-buhay, mamamatay siyang makasalanan ngunit wala kang dapat panagutan.”

    Salmong pagtugon (Awit 95) (Bersikulo 1–2 at 6–9)
    Ang tugon ay: Kanyang salita’y ating pakinggan: Iyang inyong puso’y huwag patigasin.
    • Tayo na't lumapit kay Yahweh na Diyos, siya ay awitan, ang batong kublihan, atin ngang handugan, masayang awitan! Tayo na't lumapit, sa kanyang presensya na may pasalamat, siya ay purihin, ng mga awiting may tuwa at galak.

    “Kung magkasala sa iyo ang kapatid mo, puntahan mo siya at kausapin nang sarilinan tungkol sa kanyang kamalian. Kapag nakinig siya sa iyo, naibalik mo na ang inyong pagsasamahan bilang magkapatid. Ngunit kung ayaw niyang makinig sa iyo, magsama ka pa ng isa o dalawang tao upang ang lahat ng pinag-usapan ninyo ay mapatunayan ng dalawa o tatlong saksi. Kung ayaw niyang makinig sa kanila, sabihin mo sa iglesya ang nangyari. At kung ayaw pa rin niyang makinig sa iglesya, ituring mo siyang parang Hentil o isang maniningil ng buwis. Tandaan ninyo: anumang ipagbawal ninyo dito sa lupa ay ipagbabawal sa langit, at ang ipahintulot ninyo dito sa lupa ay ipahihintulot sa langit. Tandaan din ninyo: kung ang dalawa sa inyo ay nagkaisa dito sa lupa sa paghingi ng anuman, ito'y ipagkakaloob sa inyo ng aking Ama na nasa langit. Sapagkat saanman may dalawa o tatlong nagkakatipon sa pangalan ko, naroon akong kasama nila.”

    Dan engkau anak manusia, Aku menetapkan engkau menjadi penjaga bagi kaum Israel. Bilamana engkau mendengar sesuatu firman dari pada-Ku, peringatkanlah mereka demi nama-Ku. Kalau Aku berfirman kepada orang jahat: Hai orang jahat, engkau pasti mati! — dan engkau tidak berkata apa-apa untuk memperingatkan orang jahat itu supaya bertobat dari hidupnya, orang jahat itu akan mati dalam kesalahannya, tetapi Aku akan menuntut pertanggungan jawab atas nyawanya dari padamu. Tetapi jikalau engkau memperingatkan orang jahat itu supaya ia bertobat dari hidupnya, tetapi ia tidak mau bertobat, ia akan mati dalam kesalahannya, tetapi engkau telah menyelamatkan nyawamu.

    Mazmur (Mazmur 95) (Ayat 1–2 dan 6–9)
    Tanggapan adalah: Pada hari ini, kamu mendengar suara-Nya! Janganlah keraskan hatimu.
    • Marilah kita bersorak-sorai untuk TUHAN, bersorak-sorak bagi gunung batu keselamatan kita. Biarlah kita menghadap wajah-Nya dengan nyanyian syukur, bersorak-sorak bagi-Nya dengan nyanyian mazmur.
    • Masuklah, marilah kita sujud menyembah, berlutut di hadapan TUHAN yang menjadikan kita. Sebab Dialah Allah kita, dan kitalah umat gembalaan-Nya dan kawanan domba tuntunan tangan-Nya.
    • Pada hari ini, sekiranya kamu mendengar suara-Nya! Janganlah keraskan hatimu seperti di Meriba, seperti pada hari di Masa di padang gurun, pada waktu nenek moyangmu mencobai Aku, menguji Aku, padahal mereka melihat perbuatan-Ku.

    Bacaan kedua (Roma 13: 8–10)
    Pembacaan dari surat Paulus kepada jemaat di Roma.
    Janganlah kamu berhutang apa-apa kepada siapa pun juga, tetapi hendaklah kamu saling mengasihi. Sebab barangsiapa mengasihi sesamanya manusia, ia sudah memenuhi hukum Taurat. Karena firman: jangan berzinah, jangan membunuh, jangan mencuri, jangan mengingini dan firman lain mana pun juga, sudah tersimpul dalam firman ini, yaitu: Kasihilah sesamamu manusia seperti dirimu sendiri! Kasih tidak berbuat jahat terhadap sesama manusia, karena itu kasih adalah kegenapan hukum Taurat.

Dan jika ia tidak mau juga mendengarkan jemaat, pandanglah dia sebagai seorang yang tidak mengenal Allah atau seorang pemungut cukai. Aku berkata kepadamu: Sesungguhnya apa yang kamu ikat di dunia ini akan terikat di sorga dan apa yang kamu lepaskan di dunia ini akan terlepas di sorga. Dan lagi Aku berkata kepadamu: Jika dua orang dari padamu di dunia ini sepakat meminta apa pun juga, permintaan mereka itu akan dikabulkan oleh Bapa-Ku yang di sorga. Sebab di mana dua atau tiga orang berkumpul dalam nama-Ku, di situ Aku ada di tengah-tengah mereka."
