First reading (Jeremiah 17: 5–8)
A reading from the book of the prophet Jeremiah.
Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the one who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a barren bush in the desert that enjoys no change of season, but stands in a lava waste, a salt and empty earth. Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose hope is the LORD. He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: it fears not the heat when it comes; its leaves stay green; in the year of drought it shows no distress, but still bears fruit.
Second reading (1 Corinthians 15: 12 and 16–20)
A reading from the first letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
Brothers and sisters: If Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead? If the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins. Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Gospel (Luke 6: 17 and 20–26)

Jesus came down with the twelve and stood on a stretch of level ground with a great crowd of his disciples and a large number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon. And raising his eyes toward his disciples he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God is yours. Blessed are you who are now hungry, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who are now weeping, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you, and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. Rejoice and leap for joy on that day! Behold, your reward will be great in heaven. For their ancestors treated the prophets in the same way. But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you who are filled now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will grieve and weep. Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way.”

Blessed the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked, nor walks in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of the insolent, but delights in the law of the LORD and meditates on his law day and night.
He is like a tree planted near running water, that yields its fruit in due season, and whose leaves never fade. Whatever he does, prospers.
Not so the wicked, not so; they are like chaff which the wind drives away. For the LORD watches over the way of the just, but the way of the wicked vanishes.

He is like a tree beside a brook producing its fruit in due season, its leaves never withering. Everything he does is a success.
But it is different with the wicked. They are like chaff driven away by the wind. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but cuts off the way of the wicked.

Primera lectura (Jeremías 17: 5–8)

Así habla el Señor: ¡Maldito el hombre que confía en otro hombre, que busca su apoyo en un mortal, y que aparta su corazón del Señor! Es como mata de cardo en la estepa; no sentirá cuando llegue la lluvia, pues echó sus raíces en lugares ardientes del desierto, en un solar despoblado. ¡Bendito el que confía en el Señor, y que en él pone su esperanza! Se asemeja a un árbol plantado a la orilla del agua, y que alarga sus raíces hacia la corriente: no tiene miedo de que llegue el calor, su follaje se mantendrá verde; en año de sequía no se inquieta, ni deja de producir sus frutos.
Salmo responsorial (Salmo 1) (Versículos 1–4 y 6)
La respuesta es: Benditos son los que confían en el Señor.
• ¡Feliz el hombre que no sigue el consejo de los malvados, ni se detiene en el camino de los pecadores, ni se sienta en la reunión de los impíos, sino que se complace en la ley del Señor y la medita de día y de noche!
• Él es como un árbol plantado al borde de las aguas, que produce fruto a su debido tiempo, y cuyas hojas nunca se marchitan: todo lo que haga le saldrá bien.
• No sucede así con los malvados: ellos son como paja que se lleva el viento. Porque el Señor cuida el camino de los justos, pero el camino de los malvados termina mal.
Segunda lectura (1 Corintios 15: 12 y 16–20)
Una lectura de la primera carta de San Pablo a los corintios.
Si se anuncia que Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos, ¿cómo algunos de ustedes afirman que los muertos no resucitan? Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó. Y si Cristo no resucitó, la fe de ustedes es inútil y sus pecados no han sido perdonados. En consecuencia, los que murieron con la fe en Cristo han perecido para siempre. Si nosotros hemos puesto nuestra esperanza en Cristo solamente para esta vida, seríamos los hombres más dignos de lástima. Pero no, Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos, el primero de todos.
Evangelio (Lucas 6: 17 y 20–26)

Al bajar con ellos se detuvo en una llanura. Estaban allí muchos de sus discípulos y una gran muchedumbre que había llegado de toda la Judea, de Jerusalén y de la región costera de Tiro y Sidón, Entonces Jesús, fijando la mirada en sus discípulos, dijo: “¡Felices ustedes, los pobres, porque el Reino de Dios les pertenece! ¡Felices ustedes, los que ahora tienen hambre, porque serán saciados! ¡Felices ustedes, los que ahora lloran, porque reirán! ¡Felices ustedes, cuando los hombres los odien, los excluyan, los insulten y los proscriban, considerándolos infames a causa del Hijo del hombre! Alégrense y llénense de gozo en ese día, porque la recompensa de ustedes será grande en el cielo. De la misma manera los padres de ellos trataban a los profetas. Ngayon, kung ipinapangaral naming si Cristo'y muling nabuhay, bakit sinasabi ng ilan sa inyo na hindi bubuhaying muli ang mga patay? Kung hindi muling binubuhay ang mga patay, hindi rin muling binuhay si Cristo. At kung hindi muling binuhay si Cristo, kayo'y nananatili pa sa inyong mga kasalanan at walang katuturan ang inyong pananampalataya. Hindi lamang iyan, lilitaw pa na ang lahat ng mga namatay na sumampalataya kay Cristo ay napahamak. Kung ang pag-asa natin kay Cristo ay para lamang sa buhay na ito, tayo na ang pinakakawawa sa lahat ng tao. Ngunit sa katunayan si Cristo'y muling binuhay at ito'y katibayan na muli ngang bubuhayin ang mga patay.

Salmong tugunan (Mga Awit 1: 1–4 at 6)

Mapalad ang taong hindi nakikinig sa payo ng masama, at hindi sumusunod sa masama nilang halimbawa. Hindi siya nakikisama sa mga kumukutya at hindi nakikisangkot sa gawaing masama. Sa halip, kasiyahan niyang sumunod sa kautusan ng Poon. Binubulay-bulay niya ito sa araw at gabi.
Katulad niya'y punongkahoy sa tabi ng isang batisan, laging sariwa ang dahon at namumunga sa takdang panahon. Ano man ang kanyang gawin, siya'y nagtatagumpay.

Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Terkutuklah orang yang mengandalkan manusia, yang mengandalkan kekuatannya sendiri, dan yang hatinya menjauh dari pada TUHAN! Ia akan seperti semak bulus di padang belantara, ia tidak akan mengalami datangnya keadaan baik; ia akan tinggal di tanah angus di padang gurun, di negeri padang asin yang tidak berpenduduk. Diberkatilah orang yang mengandalkan TUHAN, yang menaruh harapannya pada TUHAN! Ia akan seperti pohon yang ditanam di tepi air, yang merambatkan akar-akarnya ke tepi batang air, dan yang tidak mengalami datangnya panas terik, yang daunnya tetap hijau, yang tidak kuatir dalam tahun kering, dan yang tidak berhenti menghasilkan buah.

第二読み物（コリント人への手紙一第15章：第12詩と第16詩–第20詩)
この読み物はコリント人への手紙一です。
しかし、これだけは言わせてください。私たちが伝えたとおり、あなたがたが、キリストの死からの復活を信じているのなら、なぜ、「死んだ者は二度と生き返らない」と言ったりする人が出るのですか。もし死者が復活しないのなら、キリストも復活しなかったでしょう。そして、もしキリストが復活しなかったのなら、信仰はむなしく、あなたがたは今も罪の中にいるのです。また、すでに死んだクリスチャンは、みな滅んでしまったことになります。もしクリスチャンであることが、この世の生活でしか価値がないのなら、私たちほどみじめな者はありません。しかし、事実、キリストは死者の中から復活しました。そして、復活が約束されているすべての人の初穂（その年の収穫の最初の束）となられたのです。
