First reading (2 Kings 5: 14–17)
A reading from the second book of Kings.
Naaman went down and plunged into the Jordan seven times at the word of Elisha, the man of God. His flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean of his leprosy. Naaman returned with his whole retinue to the man of God. On his arrival, he stood before Elisha and said, "Now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel. Please accept a gift from your servant." Elisha replied, "As the LORD lives whom I serve, I will not take it;" and despite Naaman's urging, he still refused. Naaman said: "If you will not accept, please let me, your servant, have two mule-loads of earth, for I will no longer offer holocaust or sacrifice to any other god except to the LORD."
Second reading (2 Timothy 2: 8–13)
A reading from the second letter of Saint Paul to Timothy.
Beloved: Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David: such is my gospel, for which I am suffering, even to the point of chains, like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained. Therefore, I bear with everything for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, together with eternal glory. This saying is trustworthy: If we have died with him we shall also live with him; if we persevere we shall also reign with him. But if we deny him he will deny us. If we are unfaithful he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.
Gospel (Luke 17: 11–19)

As Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem, he traveled through Samaria and Galilee. As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him. They stood at a distance from him and raised their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!" And when he saw them, he said, "Go show yourselves to the priests." As they were going they were cleansed. And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritan. Jesus said in reply, "Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?" Then he said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has saved you."

I ask you to accept these gifts from your servant." But Elisha replied, "I swear by the Lord whom I serve, I will accept nothing." And however much Naaman insisted, Elisha would not accept his gifts. So Naaman told him, "Since you refuse, let me acquire some sacks of soil from your land – the quantity that two mules can carry. I shall use it to build an altar to the Lord, for I shall not offer sacrifices to any other god but him."
Second reading (2 Timothy 2: 8–13)
A reading from the second letter of Saint Paul to Timothy.
Beloved: Remember Christ Jesus, risen from the dead, Jesus, son of David, as preached in my Gospel. For this Gospel, I labor and even wear chains like an evildoer, but the word of God is not chained. And so I bear everything for the sake of the chosen people, that they, too, may obtain the salvation given to us in Christ Jesus and share eternal glory. This statement is true: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him; if we endure with him, we shall reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us; if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful for he cannot deny himself.
Gospel (Luke 17: 11–19)

On the way to Jerusalem, Jesus was passing along the border between Samaria and Galilee, and as he entered a village, ten lepers came to meet him. Keeping their distance, they called to him, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" Then Jesus stated to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." Now, as they went their way, they found they were cured. One of them, as soon as he saw he was cleansed, turned back praising God in a loud voice, and throwing himself on his face before Jesus, he gave him thanks. This man was a Samaritan. Then Jesus stated, "Were not all ten healed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God but this alien?" And Jesus stated to him, "Stand up and go your separate way, for your faith has saved you."

The LORD has made his salvation known: in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice. He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands: break into song; sing praise.

Bajó pues y se sumergió en el Jordán siete veces, tal como le había dicho el hombre de Dios. ¡Y después de eso su carne se volvió como la carne de un niñito; estaba sano! Entonces regresó donde el hombre de Dios con todos sus acompañantes, entró en su casa y se presentó ante él: “Ahora, dijo, sé que no hay más Dios en toda la tierra que el Dios de Israel. Acepta pues este presente de parte de tu servidor.” Eliseo le respondió: “Por la vida del Señor a quien sirvo que no aceptaré nada.” El otro insistió para que aceptara, pero él se negó. Entonces Naamán le dijo: “Muy bien, pero me gustaría al menos que dieras a tu servidor un poco de tierra para cargar un par de mulas, porque en adelante tu servidor no ofrecerá más sacrificios u holocaustos a otros dioses sino sólo al Señor."
Salmo responsorial (Salmo 98) (Versículos 1–4)
La respuesta es: El Señor ha revelado a las naciones su poder rescatante.
• Canten al Señor un canto nuevo, porque él hizo maravillas: su mano derecha y su santo brazo le obtuvieron la victoria.
• El Señor manifestó su victoria, reveló su justicia a los ojos de las naciones: se acordó de su amor y su fidelidad en favor del pueblo de Israel.

Segunda lectura (2 Timoteo 2: 8–13)

Acuérdate de Jesucristo, que resucitó de entre los muertos y es descendiente de David. Esta es la Buena Noticia que yo predico, por la cual sufro y estoy encadenado como un malhechor. Pero la palabra de Dios no está encadenada. Por eso soporto estas pruebas por amor a los elegidos, a fin de que ellos también alcancen la salvación que está en Cristo Jesús y participen de la gloria eterna. Esta doctrina es digna de fe: Si hemos muerto con él, viviremos con él. Si somos constantes, reinaremos con él. Si renegamos de él, él también renegará de nosotros. Si somos infieles, él es fiel, porque no puede renegar de sí mismo.
Evangelio (Lucas 17: 11–19)

Mientras se dirigía a Jerusalén, Jesús pesaba a través de Samaria y Galilea. Al entrar en un poblado, le salieron al encuentro diez leprosos, que se detuvieron a distancia y empezaron a gritarle: “¡Jesús, Maestro, ten compasión de nosotros!” Al verlos, Jesús les dijo: “Vayan a presentarse a los sacerdotes.” Y en el camino quedaron purificados. Uno de ellos, al comprobar que estaba curado, volvió atrás alabando a Dios en voz alta y se arrojó a los pies de Jesús con el rostro en tierra, dándole gracias. Era un samaritano. Jesús le dijo entonces: “¿Cómo, no quedaron purificados los diez? Los otros nueve, ¿dónde están? ¿Ninguno volvió a dar gracias a Dios, sino este extranjero?” Y agregó: “Levántate y vete, tu fe te ha salvado.”

Pero Eliseo contestó: “Juro por el Señor, en cuya presencia estoy, que no aceptaré nada”. Y por más que Naamán insistía, Eliseo no aceptó nada. Entonces Naamán le dijo: “Ya que te niegas, concédeme al menos que me den unos sacos con tierra de este lugar, los que puedan llevar un par de mulas. La usaré para construir un altar al Señor, tu Dios, pues a ningún otro dios volveré a ofrecer más sacrificios”.

Por este Evangelio sufro hasta llevar cadenas, como un malhechor; pero la palabra de Dios no está encadenada. Por eso lo sobrellevo todo por amor a los elegidos, para que ellos también alcancen en Cristo Jesús la salvación, y con ella, la gloria eterna. Es verdad lo que decimos: “Si morimos con él, viviremos con él; si nos mantenemos firmes, reinaremos con él; si lo negamos, él también nos negará; si le somos infieles, él permanece fiel, porque no puede contradecirse a sí mismo”.

Tu fe te ha salvado”.

Dan walaupun Naaman mendesaknya supaya menerima sesuatu, ia tetap menolak. Akhirnya berkatalah Naaman: "Jikalau demikian, biarlah diberikan kepada hambamu ini tanah sebanyak muatan sepasang bagal, sebab hambamu ini tidak lagi akan mempersembahkan korban bakaran atau korban sembelihan kepada allah lain kecuali kepada TUHAN.

Benarlah perkataan ini: "Jika kita mati dengan Dia, kita pun akan hidup dengan Dia; jika kita bertekun, kita pun akan ikut memerintah dengan Dia; jika kita menyangkal Dia, Dia pun akan menyangkal kita; jika kita tidak setia, Dia tetap setia, karena Dia tidak dapat menyangkal diri-Nya."

Orang itu adalah seorang Samaria. Lalu Yesus berkata: "Bukankah kesepuluh orang tadi semuanya telah menjadi tahir? Di manakah yang sembilan orang itu? イエス・キリストが、人間としてダビデ王の家系から生まれ、同時にまた神であること〔それは、死者の中からの復活という事実によって証明されました〕を、いつも覚えていなさい。私が今こんな目に会い、犯罪者のように牢獄に放り込まれているのは、ほかでもなく、このすばらしい真理を人々に伝えたからです。しかし、私は鎖でつながれていても、神のことばはつながれてはいません。私は喜んで、どんな苦しみも耐え忍びます。それは、神に選ばれた人に、キリスト・イエスの救いと永遠の栄光とをもたらすためです。私は次の真理を知っているので、慰められます。すなわち、キリストのために苦しみを受けて死ぬ時が、天で、キリストと共に生きる時の始まりを意味するということです。もしも、主に仕える現状をつらいと思うことがあれば、いつの日か必ず主と共に王座につき、共に治めるようになることを思い起こして励みなさい。もし、私たちが苦しみに耐えかねて、キリストを拒むようなことがあれば、キリストも、私たちを拒まれるに違いありません。しかしたとえ、信仰をなくしたかと思えるほど私たちが弱くなっても、キリストは真実を貫き、私たちを助けてくださいます。私たちは主の一部分になっているので、切り捨てられることはないのです。そして、主はいつも約束を果たしてくださいます。
福音書（ルカ第17章：第11詩–第19詩）
この読み物はルカの福音書です。
一行はエルサレムを目指して進み、途中サマリヤとガリラヤの境を通りました。ある村に入ると、十人のツァラアトの人がずっと向こうのほうから、「イエス様！どうぞお助けを！」と大声で叫んでいました。イエスはそちらに目をやり、「さあ、祭司のところへ行き、ツァラアトが治ったことを見せてきなさい」と言われました。彼らがそのとおり出かけて行くと、途中でツァラアトはきれいに治りました。その中の一人が、イエスのところに引き返し、足もとにひれ伏して、「ありがとうございます。おっしゃるとおり、すっかりよくなりました。神様に栄光がありますように」と言いました。実はこの人は、ユダヤ人から軽蔑されていたサマリヤ人でした。「はて、十人全部がいやされたはずだが、ほかの九人はどうしたのですか。神を賛美するために帰って来たのは、この外国人のほかにはいないのですか。」こう言ってから、イエスはその男に、「さあ、立って帰りなさい。あなたの信仰があなたを治したのです」と言われました。

Egli, allora, scese e si lavò nel Giordano sette volte, secondo la parola dell'uomo di Dio, e la sua carne ridivenne come la carne di un giovinetto; egli era guarito. Tornò con tutto il seguito dall'uomo di Dio; entrò e si presentò a lui dicendo: "Ebbene, ora so che non c'è Dio su tutta la terra se non in Israele." Ora accetta un dono dal tuo servo." Quegli disse: "Per la vita del Signore, alla cui presenza io sto, non lo prenderò." Nàaman insisteva perché accettasse, ma egli rifiutò. Allora Nàaman disse: "Se è no, almeno sia permesso al tuo servo di caricare qui tanta terra quanta ne portano due muli, perché il tuo servo non intende compiere più un olocausto o un sacrificio ad altri dei, ma solo al Signore."
Seconda lettura (2 Timoteo 2: 8–13)
Una lettura dalla seconda lettera di San Paolo a Timoteo.
Ricordati che Gesù Cristo, della stirpe di Davide, è risuscitato dai morti, secondo il mio vangelo, a causa del quale io soffro fino a portare le catene come un malfattore; ma la parola di Dio non è incatenata! Perciò sopporto ogni cosa per gli eletti, perché anch'essi raggiungano la salvezza che è in Cristo Gesù, insieme alla gloria eterna. Certa è questa parola: Se moriamo con lui, vivremo anche con lui; se con lui perseveriamo, con lui anche regneremo; se lo rinneghiamo, anch'egli ci rinnegherà; se noi manchiamo di fede, egli però rimane fedele, perché non può rinnegare se stesso.
Vangelo (Luca 17: 11–19)
Una lettura dal Santo Vangelo secondo San Luca.
Durante il viaggio verso Gerusalemme, Gesù attraversò la Samaria e la Galilea. Entrando in un villaggio, gli vennero incontro dieci lebbrosi i quali, fermatisi a distanza, alzarono la voce, dicendo: "Gesù maestro, abbi pietà di noi!" Appena li vide, Gesù disse: "Andate a presentarvi ai sacerdoti." E mentre essi andavano, furono sanati. Uno di loro, vedendosi guarito, tornò indietro lodando Dio a gran voce; e si gettò ai piedi di Gesù per ringraziarlo. Era un Samaritano. Ma Gesù osservò: "Non sono stati guariti tutti e dieci? E gli altri nove dove sono? Non si è trovato chi tornasse a render gloria a Dio, all'infuori di questo straniero?" E gli disse: "Alzati e và; la tua fede ti ha salvato!"
